Quilted Cake

I have always adored those quilted fondant cakes. I think they are simple and with so much elegance. I was able to make one of this, when I was asked to make a simple golden anniversary cake.

Pilot & Airplane on Runway Cake

Life is full of surprises, and someone is planning a birthday surprise. How exciting can that be. And what makes it more exciting is I’ll be part of it, I’ll be baking the cake and cupcakes πŸ™‚ hihi

The birthday guyΒ is yet again a pilot, so that would be the theme. Since I have made a pilot and airplane cake already, I want this to look different. This time, I planned on putting them on a runway. I want each of my cake to be one of a kind. This cake comes with cupcakes, which makes it more exciting to decorate.

I made Mr. Pilot wear a jacket/coat this time

Medical Representative Cake

A dear friend of mine, asked me a sweet favor to make her a cake. What surprised me is she already have a complete detail of how the cake will look like. Down to the smallest details she was there instructing me already. I was convinced that this cake will be special and has a purpose in making someone happy, very happy.

So I was game to make the idea happen for her. She is going to give this to “someone”, he is a medical representative. Thank goodness that I have made a nurse cake before this. It’s somehow close to what she has in mind. What is really cute is, she is so particular on how the molded man will look like. She has given me all the details on how he looks like and wanted me to mold this as he is. So cute! Can’t wait to finish the cake already.

From her description he always wears a navy blue polo, khaki pants and wears eye glasses.

Did I mold him right??? πŸ™‚

here’s the special cake for PJ

i hope this makes him happy

here’s how it looks from the top

Would you believe that the cake took how many days before it got to him. That is because he is a medical representative and his schedule constantly changes.

But I’m happy to say mission accomplished because he not only liked the cake he loved it and he says it taste very good πŸ™‚

I’m so delighted to make another celebration happier with my cake.

NURSE CUM LAUDE CAKE

Should you wish to celebrate anΒ achievement, I say the best way to celebrate is with cakes! Cakes paired withΒ celebrationsΒ are the sweetest.

I was asked to make this cake to commend a Nursing student who will be graduating with an overwhelming victory, a CUM LAUDE! The simple request of the very proud mom was to highlight theΒ achievementΒ of her daughter on the cake.

What I had in mind, was to detail the cake with medicines, stethoscope, band aids and the medical symbol.

How do you like the top of the cake?

6th Grade Graduation Cake

This was a rush order. Ordering now, needed tomorrow. But I’m happy to bake it. This is another love cake. This time its a girl giving her sister some sweetness on her graduation day.

The theme is simple graduation. It’s should be a 6th Grade graduation cake. I was seeing a cute girl on her white toga. And then I mold it. According to the sister her favorite color was green, so the cake will be green.

I added details to the cake, pink buttons around it, scattered flowers and a butterfly for a more youthful girly look.

Pilot and Airplane in the Sky Cake

Have you ever been in a situation where you don’t know what to give someone for a birthday. And you’re so busy that you can’t go to the mall and find one precious thing to give. A friend of mine found a wonderful idea, she asked me to baker her a cake.

To make it more special she wanted a personal touch to it. She’s giving it to her boyfriend, who is a pilot. Her idea was to make that the theme of the cake. It’s a surprise gift for the boyfriend. And I was so excited and flattered to do this!

Since my cake would be the surprise gift I wanted it to be really nice, like superb for him. I didn’t just want an airplane, I wanted a real pilot in uniform, and it’s perfect. My idea was the pilot and airplane in the sky. So the cake will be blue with clouds around it.

This was a wonderful partnership of a loving girlfriend and a happy cake artist.

I get so excited when I bake a cake. I want each of my cakes to make a magical moment.

LEGO cakes & cupcakes

My first nephew, Pierre is turning 1. He is an adorable baby, so cute, got dimples, muscles and a handsome boy. We were off to Disneyland to celebrate Pierre and my little sister, Sam’s birthdays. But we thought a first year birthday wont be complete without a party.

So we threw a little and simple birthday party for him. It was a Lego themed party for Pierre. Lego blocks and Lego man it is! My family worked hand in hand to make this birthday party. It’s personalized and we wanted it to look fun!

My brother made personalized shirt for each member of the family. Really cute!

Daddy’s shirt

We made personalized loot bags of Lego man’s face with lots of candies and toys in it.

And of course a birthday won’t be complete without a cake, cupcakes and we made some sugar cookies too. I also baked mini cupcakes to complete it all.

I made a cake covered by Lego blocks with red, yellow , green and blue colors. I places a Lego man on top. It’s so cute!

It was a tiring day but we sure had fun. It’s even sweeter that the whole family worked for this party.

Little Mermaid Cake & Cupcakes

Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney Princess. When I was still a kid watching it is happiness to me, just like baking now. I love Ariel, her sea creΓ€ture friends and the colors under the sea, oh and her lovely tail too.

This time it’s aΒ LittleΒ Mermaid party to organize. It’s for a little girl turning 7, she wanted it simple, with her family, classmates and Β a few friends. All the little girls were dressedΒ on their princess gowns. They all look so happy and excited for the party.

setting up and during the party

I also had to do the cake and cupcakes. It’s an 8 inches round cake with 30 cupcakes.

Pink & yellow sweets for my Princess sister

It’s a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little sister. It has always been her wish to celebrate her birthday in school like her classmates. Problem is, her birthday is on April 03 and classes are usually over by that month. So my Mom thought of a cool idea, she celebrates it in advance and she celebrates it on the last day of the school year. This has been a tradition ever since she entered school. School birthday parties are always fun!

My Mom made her cute giveaways. She was able to find a cute plastic container and stuffed them with candies and designed them with a personalized sticker. There were a lot of candies πŸ™‚ kids drool over the candies the moment they saw them.

here’s a photo collage of the party. look how happy the kids are πŸ™‚

My part of course was to make the cake, cupcakes and decided to add some cookies. My sister does not adore princesses and pink. She’s more of the Hannah Montana girl, rock and cool. But I persuaded her to have pink yellow as her party theme, and she was okay with it, which surprised me.

I was trying to make a cake with butter cream frosting, but boy was it hard! I was not able to make it smooth on the cake. I don’t know why but I find it so hard to make a butter cream cake. I have to practice a lot on this.

I was upset that I can’t make it right so I decided to just cover it with fondant. I made it a little 2 layers princess cake. Pink and yellow with accents of her initial S for Samantha and 7 because it’s her 7th birthday.

the princess cake

I made the cupcakes same as the cake. Baked some chocolate cupcakes, frosted them with pink and yellow butter cream and topped them with fondant.

i planned to put them on individual boxes to make them look cuter but my mom suggested to just put hem around the cake so kids can just get and eat. Easier for them.

I also made sugar cookies. I’m not a fun of sugar cookies but I must admit they always catch attention. They are so pretty and cute. So for her sugar cookies I just decorated them with yellow and pink candies.
